I am looking for pictures of the coolest control panels out there to post on this page. If you have something unique on your cabinet that deserves some attention send it here and get your web-fame. If you have a site I will provide a link as well.
Control panel pics that were sent in - Click on the thumbnails for a larger view. This is where you can get some really cool ideas for yours
Our first submission for the control panels page came in on 6/24/01 from Vaughn Larousse, these are some slick looking panels. They are stand alone projects meaning they are not attached directly to a MAME cabinet. These are perfect for taking them on the road to a friends house for some serious gaming. Check out the pics, they are made from original panels from MK and Xevious machines, the third is a generic panel that was customized to look like granite. A Tron control panel is in the works.
Here is KillerClowns control panel. It's a Sidewinder Hack and the joystick is one of those you can change from 4 way to 8 way. He uses this for Pac-Man etc..... as it's much more precise than the HotRod for these games :) I think KillerClown is planning a new one too.
Heres some shots sent in by Rob Mocca, it looks like he keeps his cabinet in his livng room, this guy is my idol. A slick looking cabinet and control panel, nice work. I wonder if this guy is married? No way my wife would let me keep mine there.
OK, now I'm drooling a little myself here. A super clean and nicely done control panel by Tim from arcadecollecting.com. I just might have to one up you all with my next addition to the cabinet. He made the artwork himself (see the picture on the right). Keep the control panels coming in.
Here's a unique idea, a monster 6 sided rotating panel with full sized controls. A custom built Star Wars yoke, dual steering wheels, dual trackballs, dual everything. This panel is.......wow. I cant wait to see the finished project. I had to dedicate a few more shots than normal so you can get an idea of how much work is going into this project. You can check his site out at http://www.homestead.com/xiaou2/xiaou2s.html
This is Skeleton's project, he makes some awsome control panels. There are two panels pictured here, one is with dual 8 ways and a four way plus dual spinners. The other is a flight/trigger stick, analog stick and a trackball with lots of buttons. Excellent work and very clean. You can visit his site here
Kyle Miller sent in these shots, this is his custom control panel with some killer artwork. The graphic for his panel is huge so I sized it down to 1/6th of it's original size and compressed it for faster loading. I was thinking about making my own panel overlay for my GTX cabinet. His is beutifully done with excellent detail. His panel came from a Street Fighter machine. Another excellent job.
Daniel Pun sent in this control panel. The buttons at the bottom are for playing Mahjong games, cool idea. This 4 player panel was made using a Sidewinder hack (gameport version). This panel sports lots of room for the players and looks like a whole lot of work. Great job and thanks for the submission.
Wow, finally a new submission for a custom control panel. This one is by Quamper, you check out his site here. A very nicely done and super clean looking 2 player panel. Notice the trackball, it's put in from the bottom so only the ball shows. Cool.
